This collection was inspired by LEGO blocks and further influenced by architectural lines. I was first drawn to some burnt orange yarn and the colour palette evolved from there. The patterns were initially created in watercolours and via digital sketches before being adapted as suitable designs for use on the loom.

This collection initially started from an idea I had for a tapestry woven rug for my young son. I am forever stepping on little plastic building blocks in his room and so a rug seemed like the perfect place to start. I created a design that was bright and fun but also a little more abstract than traditional children’s interior collections and would grow with him into his teenage years.

Building on this initial piece, I created a collection of contemporary, bright cushions that could be used throughout a home and would work equally well as statement pieces or playing off each other.
